No meta description

This page has a title and clean headings. It has no meta description.

What the description does

The meta description is the line of text under the title in search results. It does not affect ranking directly, but a good one lifts the click rate. Leave it out and the search engine writes one for you from text on the page, which may or may not read well.

How to write one

Treat it as a short ad. In about 70 to 160 characters, say what the page gives you and give a reason to click. Write a different one for each page so results never show the same snippet twice, and do not stuff it with keywords, which search engines tend to ignore.
